Ashleigh Hoera
AISTD; LNZAMD; SPDNZAMD, TCNZAMD
I began dancing at the age of three with the Macdonald School of Dance. It soon became very clear dancing was my passion so I picked up several dance forms including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Contemporary. By the age of 15 I began my teaching journey as an assistant teacher. I went on to gain four solo diploma certificates through the NZAMD syllabus and was nominated for the national competitions. In 2011 I auditioned successfully for “The Space Dance & Arts Centre” in Melbourne where I pursued my dance training and was soon a teaching staff member. On my return to New Zealand I continued teaching at The Macdonald School of Dance and at the beginning of 2015 I embarked on my biggest journey yet and opened Evolve Performing Arts Centre. Since then I have been blessed with amazing support from our Evolve community and have created a space where children come to let their passion fly. With almost 15 years of teaching experience I have now sat my teachers examination and gained my teaching certificate with the NZAMD. I am so grateful to go to work and do what I love everyday while being surrounded by our incredible Evolve community.

Lillee Shailer
Lillee Shailer has been dancing with Evolve for the past 10 years. She has a passion for not only dancing herself but teaching dance to others.
Since late 2016 Lillee has been developing her teaching skills by assisting Miss Ashleigh Hoera in her junior and senior classes. In June of 2019 Lillee was fortunate enough to compete at HipHop Unite NZ, with the Evolve Hip Hop crews, Milkshake and Illuminate and the experience was amazing.
This year Lillee is enjoying the freedom of having four of her own classes each week where she teachers Hip Hop to pupils ages 6 – 25 years. She has achieved the top mark for the past 3 years in her Hip Hop examinations and is now working towards her Solo Diploma and teachers certificate.
Lillee enjoys seeing the kids thrive in what they love.
She is a valued member of our team and brings a young fresh vibe that all of her pupils aspire too.
